SHETLAND 570 BOAT in Norwich, Norfolk for sale

SHETLAND 570 MK.3 FOR SALE I have spent many great times cruising down the rivers on the norfolk broads on my reliable weekender! However it is now time to sell her as I am looking to get a bigger boat. This great example of an original MK3 Shetland has been recently refurbished inside and out. CABIN. I have recently repainted the inside of the cabin, recovered the cushions and replace the roof-boards as the last were very tatty. I have also had the windows replaced with polycarbonate tinted windows, professionally installed. The Deck Hatch seal has been replaced. I have slept in the cabin many times and have been amazed everytime by how much space there is. It has under seat storage, bow storage, under cooker storage, centre table that lowers to create a very large bed for 2 (even had three in there for a weekends fishing). There is also a sink that has a hand pump for cold water and also a double ringed gas cooker for the fry-ups! Although the boat is a compact weekend cruiser, it does have many well incorporated facilities that function very well. AFT COCKPIT. This area has also been refurbished with new side-boards covered in a cream easily wipeable and durable leather material that matches the boat upper gel coat. It has the original captains chair and surrounding seating with under-seat storage also. The only part that is yet to he finished is the rev and oil gauge on the dash. These are fitted in but are yet to be hooked up to the outboard ( one also has a slight crack in) , however this does not effect the boat in anyway. OUTBOARD. It has a Mercury 9.9hp 4 stroke engine which was serviced last year.This very reliable engine has never let me down and pushes the boat at a very calm pace (and also quite nippy if caught in a shower with the canopy down in the middle of the broad). I have taken 8 adults on the boat at one time and this 1996 Mercury cruised along perfectly without any worries. The 1996 model is renound for its reliablility and durablility. CANOPY. The canopy is the original and attaches all away around the cockpit snuggly as you would expect. It has always kept the rain and typical british weather out. The middle of the canopy is a bit saggy but sound. HULL. The boat was antifouled last year. It has a planing hull for the needs of watersports or offshore fishing but also an ideal small draft for the shallow spots of the norfolk broads. The hulls shape enables great handling of the boat. The boat has tax until next year and has its BSC until 2014.
