Vintage Steamer Trunk Coffee Table Storage Genuine Item with Labels and Tray Insert in Norwich, Norfolk for sale

Genuine Vintage Steamer Trunk from the golden age of Steamship Travel. Made by Victor in Great Britain this steamer trunk is in very good original condition. It is emblazoned with the original owner's initials 'S.E.L' which are accompanied by several original destination labels which suggest this trunk was used for travel between the U.K. and South Africa. The trunk comes complete with its inner tray and all straps for securing contents are present. Obviously there is wear on this item as it is probably around 60-80 years old, and one of the leather straps at the end has come apart, with the other being in very delicate condition. That said it is in very good condition for its age. The only other defect of note is that the key is missing and the lock removed. However the clasp still turns to engage the closing mechanism correctly. Ideal for stylish storage, or for use as a coffee table, with perspex or glass top, this item is only available as we wish to move abroad in the near future. Hence the low price. Inspection is welcome in North Norwich by arrangement.
